Not another
supplement blog.
Muscle + Brawn started as one person’s search for real answers. A training injury sent our founder down a research rabbit hole on peptides, hormone optimization, and recovery science that most gyms and most doctors weren’t equipped to answer. That search is still the model. Read the primary literature. Talk to the people who prescribe and study this for a living. Publish only what holds up.
Today that means a team of licensed physicians, clinical researchers, registered dietitians, and coaches who write, fact-check, and medically review every guide on this site. We’re independent and reader-supported, which means when you buy through a link on our site, we may earn a commission, and we say so.
That arrangement never decides what we cover or how we cover it.
The standards behind every guide
Medically reviewed
Every guide involving dosing, hormones, or a compound’s effects on the body is reviewed by a licensed physician or clinical researcher before it publishes.
Sourced, not guessed
Claims are backed by cited studies, verified vendor testing, or named expert input — never paraphrased from other blogs.
Affiliate-transparent
We disclose whenever a link on this site earns us a commission, flagged inline with the product and echoed again in the footer of every page.
Where it started
Thirty years on the platform, then thirty more spent writing down what actually works.
“Read the primary literature. Talk to the people who prescribe and study this for a living. Publish only what holds up.”
Steve Shaw founded Muscle + Brawn in [year to confirm], drawing on 30+ years of powerlifting, including competition lifts of a 602.5 lb squat, 672.5 lb deadlift, and 382.5 lb bench press. What started as plain sharing of what worked in his own training became the site’s editorial foundation.
Steve stepped back from day-to-day involvement in recent years; in 2020 the site was acquired to expand its editorial team and reach.
